indent In the 2009 issue, a new section of play reviews appears. At the suggestion of the membership of the Religion and Theatre focus group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE), the journal will annually accept submissions that briefly describe scripts and productions of works related to religion and spirituality. This review section is published as one article, so that those interested in new and recently developed works can peruse these brief summaries and perhaps locate works with potential for their own academic and professional production venues. The authors of these reviews were asked to indicate any relevant production experience they had with the work reviewed, and to indicate any potential challenges in production they gained knowledge of as a result. These personal connections are not intended solely to expose reviewer bias, but rather to indicate the roles in production and development that provided each reviewer with relevant expertise.
